Social & Emotional Learning

Our School Counselor’s primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students, based on their individualized educational plans (IEP) and behavior improvement plans (BIP).

Our counselor offers support to the students, staff, families and community. She meets with students individually and in groups, offering transition/life skills/career planning sessions. She also meets with parents, collaborates with teachers and staff, and consults with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all DVSEC students and families.
